Peach Turnovers That’ll Make You Feel Like a Pastry Chef (Even If You’re Not!)

Okay, so have you ever just craved something sweet and delicious but also super easy to whip up? Like, you don’t wanna spend hours in the kitchen, right? Me too! That’s why these peach turnovers are my go-to!

Okay, Let’s Talk Ingredients

Alright, so let’s hit the grocery store! You’ll want 2 sheets of that flaky puff pastry—that stuff is magic! Seriously, it’s like a chef’s secret weapon. Then grab 2 large fresh peaches (the juicier, the better), a ¼ cup of brown sugar (sweetness level: expert), and a splash of lemon juice to keep things zesty.

Oh, and you’ll need some cornstarch (because we’re thickening things up), a sprinkle of cinnamon, a dash of ground cloves (don’t ask me why, just trust me), and a pinch of salt. And, like, don’t forget the egg for the wash—makes ‘em shiny! Last but not least, powdered sugar and melted butter for that irresistible drizzle on top. Ugh, I can almost taste it!

So Here’s Why I Make This Constantly

Let me tell ya, peach turnovers have a special place in my heart (and my stomach!). I remember the first time I made these. It was summer, and I’d just come back from the farmer’s market with a bag full of peaches, feeling all inspired. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was like, “I’m gonna conquer this dessert!”

I made a huge mess, flour everywhere, peach juice dripping down my arms—but the first bite? Total bliss. My friends were over, and they devoured them in minutes, begging for the recipe. It’s become a summer tradition now, ya know? Just me, the peaches, and a whole lot of flaky goodness.

Another beautiful angle of the dish
Just as gorgeous from this angle too!

(Another beautiful shot because we can’t get enough!)

Check out these turnovers from a different angle! They’re just too pretty not to show off!

The One Trick That Changes Everything

Okay, listen up! The secret weapon here? Brushing that egg wash on the edges. Seriously, it’s like glue! It keeps those turnovers from exploding in the oven—trust me, I learned this the hard way. You want ‘em sealed tight so all that delicious peach filling stays inside.

Don’t Mess This Up (My Top Tips)

Don’t skimp on the peaches! More fruit = more yum!
Roll out the pastry! Make sure it’s nice and even. I’ve had lopsided turnovers that looked more like sad pancakes.
Watch the baking time! Bake for 20 minutes. Actually, start checking at 18 because ovens are sneaky!
Let them cool! Seriously, I know it’s hard to resist, but let ‘em chill for 15 minutes or you’ll burn your tongue. Trust me!

How to Keep Them From Disappearing (Or, How to Store Them)

If you somehow have leftovers (which, honestly, is rare), store them in an airtight container. They’re best fresh but can last in the fridge for a couple of days. Just pop ‘em back in the oven for a few to crisp up again!

If You Liked This, You’ll Probably Like These Too

You know what else is super easy? Chocolate Chip Cookies (classic, gotta love ‘em). Or if you’re feeling fancy, how about Apple Galette? So rustic and gorgeous! And for breakfast vibes, definitely try my Blueberry Muffins—they’re a hit!

Alright, so are you gonna make these peach turnovers or what? I can’t wait to hear how yours turn out! 🍑💖
